Get Up, Stay Up

A sticker combo gets slammed. This is half a block across the street from MOCA in a parking lot.

Blinky Supreme

Blinky goes big in front of a slammed art wall on Melrose. Click the jump for more

Two of the three Blinky's still remain, but it looks like one has been ripped out of the center.

Up in front of a panelled wall with Supreme Lady Gaga posters. Also up with street art from Axis, Swift, Common Cents, 2wenty, and many more.

Huge Street Art Combo (pt 2/2)

Part 2 of the huge street art combo building on Melrose. These shots go 'Supreme' style and have some cool pics of abstract 3d art. Click the jump for more.

Supreme gets tiled up with these Lady Gaga posters. These are a hot item on Ebay, and currently fetch $60+ apiece. Which is probably why nearly every one has been attempted to be ripped down.

And a very cool abstract kite piece of street art, with a string tied between the two pieces. The string is not painted on, it is actually a pice of string affixed to the wall. Very cool. Unknown artist.

Also up with 2wenty's Facebook cigarettes, Charlie Sheen's Tiger Blood, and Cyrcle.

Huge Street Art Combo (pt 1/2)

It is really cool how these spots pop up all of a sudden. And this wall has been slammed with street art the last few weeks, with seemingly everyone in LA getting up. Click the jump for more

And even though Banksy appears to be gone, street art is still a crowd phenomenon in LA. We don't know the guy taking pictures. He was just there on his own snapping flics.

A ton of fresh new stuff has gone up on this wall. Street art from Bankrupt Slut, Dint Wooer, Brody, KilleD, Koffinz, Swift, Herbert the Hippo, Septerhed, Common Cents, Swift, 2wenty, Charlie Sheen, Tiger Blood, Supreme, Zombie, TSF and more.

? and !

A fresh new hand painted piece of street art featuring two heads, one with an ! and the other with a ?. This piece is massive. Click the jump for more

Huge piece of hand drawn art from unknown artist. ***Thanks to a viewer for pointing this out, the artist might be San Francisco based Feral. Thanks***

We love the feel of this piece.

Also up with ASVP, Supreme, Bran One TRB, TSF and Busa(?)

Supreme Goes GaGa

MELROSEandFAIRFAX has another first-jump exclusive.

Supreme launched its latest street campaign, this one featuring Lady GaGa, and we dig it~

Click the jump for more

We have always loved Supreme's simple, clean and powerful aesthetic. And this shot of Lady Gaga from Terry Richardson is no exception. That t-shirt is even a 'tit-bit-nipply' as we used to say in high school.

And before with previous campaigns, we have enjoyed the art but have been unimpressed with the way a lot of posters would cap other street art when getting up. We haven't seen much, but from what we have seen, the placement this time seems impeccable. Its done in a way that really contributes to the street scene, and also will make sure the posters will ride longer.

Riding up with Free Humanity, 2wenty, Cyrcle, and a few pieces by unknown artists including

Dig it. Stay Supreme~

ASVP - The Mask

Love this set of pics~

ASVP has a powerful, imposing piece of street art mysteriously called 'The Mask'.

Its hard to tell from the pics, but the pink layer of printing has a glossy finish--which really causes it to jump of the page.

^The Mask holds its own.

^Really love this shot with the reflection of Supreme and Palm Trees in the background.

A.S.V.P. - Down To Earth (and UP everywhere in beween!)

Down To Earth describes the A.S.V.P. strategy perfectly. In the past year, the street art collective ASVP has arguably gotten up more around the world-they have hit more spots in more big cities, than any one else on earth . . .

In 2010, the New York based ASVP travelled across the US and all around the world putting art on the streets. As far as the US goes, ASVP is riding from San Francisco, to Detroit, to Cleveland, to the entire East Coast. Globally, their art is up in London, Hong Kong, Switzerland, India, Italy, and a handful more spots we couldn't remember.

And when ASVP rolls through a place, it is not just one piece, or even a handful of pieces. ASVP smashes each city they visit, and they tore things up while coming through LA.

In addition to being prolific, ASVP also puts out quality imagery. Each piece is silk screened by hand, which is especially impressive because of the many layers of color and the sheer size of some prints. We love the aesthetic, and love having ASVP on the streets of Los Angeles~

^ASVP 'The Mask' print above a dumpster with a Supreme paster.

Classic Supreme

Here is a classic Supreme red box sticker.

We spotted one last week and weren't sure if it was new or old school. This one has clearly been running for years and is even starting to fade color.

All the corners are picked at like someone tried to buff it, but it made it through.

Supreme

This classic Futura Supreme sticker showed up out of nowhere on this bus stop.

We love this sticker. Not sure if Supreme is re-releasing it. Anyone know? - (cause we are all over it like sweet on sugar)
