We enjoyed an earlier posted feature on Banksy Hunter Jr.'s trip through San Francisco, but as a few readers pointed out, there were a couple pieces that were missed, and a few Blek le Rat's added to the mix.

But San Francisco based MELROSEandFAIRFAX contributor, Ali, has sent us comprehensive pics of the Banksy pieces in San Francisco.

Love these pieces, especially the doctor and the 'no trespassing'.

A lot of people have been griping about placement, but from what we understand, the weather was awful and that played a factor in things.

Los Angeles has made a name for itself as the top place for street art in the world, both in quality an quantity. And the art in tinseltown was so prolific that it couldn't be contained within city limits. Street art from some of LA's top street artists just spilled into San Francisco. Really cool stuff with LA artists holding it down in San Francisco.

We hear that it was an epic trip where everything that could go weird did, and even the pasting was done in a sideways blizzard. But still, LA left a big mark on San Francisco.

A.S.V.P. - Down To Earth (and UP everywhere in beween!)

Down To Earth describes the A.S.V.P. strategy perfectly. In the past year, the street art collective ASVP has arguably gotten up more around the world-they have hit more spots in more big cities, than any one else on earth . . .

In 2010, the New York based ASVP travelled across the US and all around the world putting art on the streets. As far as the US goes, ASVP is riding from San Francisco, to Detroit, to Cleveland, to the entire East Coast. Globally, their art is up in London, Hong Kong, Switzerland, India, Italy, and a handful more spots we couldn't remember.

And when ASVP rolls through a place, it is not just one piece, or even a handful of pieces. ASVP smashes each city they visit, and they tore things up while coming through LA.

In addition to being prolific, ASVP also puts out quality imagery. Each piece is silk screened by hand, which is especially impressive because of the many layers of color and the sheer size of some prints. We love the aesthetic, and love having ASVP on the streets of Los Angeles~

We ran into some graffiti artists throwing down some new alley way art behind Melrose . . .


Quake CBS and Wesk from the Bay Area were just putting down the outlines on their respective pieces.

We will def make it back to snap shots once its finished.

Here's another look at an earlier posted poster from Moe.

This San Francisco based artist recently hit up the bay with street art stalwart Gaia, and it is great seeing this art on the streets of Los Angeles.
