Paul Rodriguez on Melrose

Paul Rodriguez, the comedian not the skater, was down on Melrose today with a fine young thing.

We didn't have the camera out til after he passed by.

And we didn't want to hound him by running up and getting in his face. In fact, it felt kind of dirty taking a picture of a celebrity, and we tried to frame these street art on this phone as an excuse for the shot.

Stickers And Street Art in Long Beach

After visiting JR's exhibit, we decided to walk around and check out the local street art scene in Long Beach.

We 'love' Long Beach~

Long Beach looked to be highly buffed. There seemed to be paint marks covering graffiti and street art everyone, and then their were more stickers and tags sprouting up all over the place. Here are some of our favorite shots.

Hooked Up - MCHN 'The Machine'

We had seen MCHN up from the 710 through downtown and up to Melrose and Fairfax.

MCHN has got mad street presence, and it was really cool when the crew hooked us up with a pack that included a T shirt and stickers. It all arrived wrapped up in a hand tagged package. Dig it~

You can keep an eye out for getting some of your own MCHN gear at your favorite street wear shop in the very near future.

Things Getting Heated for 'BEST OF' Contest?

As an alert viewer already pointed out, the 'Be Unique' art posted in the post before went right over a dope hand stenciled piece from Dog Byte.

This pick shows the back of the box, where pieces by Dog Byte and KH no. 7 have apparently been ripped to the ground. It does seem that these pieces were selectively ruined, as the pick shows pieces from Zoltron still running, along with a new one from MCHN-The Machine.

We are not sure what to think of this? or whether or not it has something to do with MELROSEandFAIRFAX's 'Best of' 2010 contest?

Anyone who follows the blog should know that we hate to see good art ruined and unnecessary beef on the streets. Remember kids, friends don't let friends fuck up cool street art~
