Bars Aren't Enough

Apparently, the bars weren't enough to keep this location safe. The windows still got broke and were replaced with wood-which made an awesome canvas for all these street artists.

The bars obscure the view for making out names, but the ones we recognize are Borat, Berbo, Corn, Erie. Anyone know who the artist is that drew the characters at the bottom?

Erie was an honorable mention for top graffiti artist of the year.

Erie smashes everything, with paint and stickers.

Also featuring a wheat paste from Septerhed, Fallout Shelter from Gone, and a sticker in the background from Bankrupt Slut.

Corner of Melrose and Fairfax - Art Central

Melrose and Fairfax is always slammin with art, and this picture captures the different facets of the street art that make this area so special.

Up front is a electrical box that is absolutely slammed with wheat pastes. The image looks like two dudes wearing sunglasses smoking weed together. The picture has been put through different filters with colors and their negatives. The way its layered really comes together well. Unknown artist(s).

Above the box and to the right is a walk box absolutely plastered with stickers in a huge combo. Stickers from Bankrupt Slut, SmogCity, MQ, Atick, Sonek, Erie, Tripp, Rotting Fresh, LA Has a Pink Taco, and, of course, MELROSEandFAIRFAX.

And behind the box in the street is a white truck that has been bombed by Etch and Tenk(?).

This shot captures a slice of the ever changing canvas that is Melrose and Fairfax. It has wheat pastes, stickers, and graffiti. And it comes together in a way that doesn't hate, but celebrates the artistic merits of each.

Fuck yeah.
