Checked out the 'Street Heart Art Show' earlier tonight.
Cool stuff from Cyrcle, Desire Obtain Cherish, Alec Monopoly, Zombie, 2wenty, Destroy All Design, Septerhed, Koffinz, Dog Byte, Cibass, and a few more.
A very impressive selection of art, set in a building that really allowed the work to shine. Great crowd, and the whole show was put together and curated by Cibass.

Daily Barracuda Update - The Scene Is Flooded!
Another day. More art, and another partial buff.
This scene is flooded!
There is some commentary that has been added the beautiful mess that is the layered wall at De La Barracuda. New street artist Subtle placed a sign that says 'Scene Flooded' up top on the balcony amidst all the half-buffed madness. We dig how this piece interacts with the space around it.
Also featuring new art from Serf with multi-colored cassette tapes and Common Cents posters saying 'How Could You Be So Heartless'.
Joining Cibass, D Young V, Sturad and a wall of half-buffed stuff. (The Vans Advertisement got fully buffed out this morning)

Daily Barracuda Update - After The (kind of) Buff pt. 1/2
As our alert readers pointed out yesterday, even as we were posting the new art from earlier that same morning, the massive street art wall at De La Barracuda got buffed--kind of.
And even in spite of the buff, a grip of new art sprung up last night. Click the jump for more
Very cool how our readers help keep us informed on up-to-the-minute breaking street art updates. How many sites can promise that?!
The entire wall of art got painted over with a think tan paint. But the thing is, the paint is so thin that you can basically still see all of the pieces, only they all have the same brownish tint now.
And even though the wall got buffed, a bunch more stuff went up. View the pics below to see more of what's happening.

Sonora Selectively Buffed
The Sonora Cafe has become a hot spot for graffiti and street art in Los Angeles. It seems that whoever curates the wall does make a distinction between street art and graffiti because all of the graffiti got buffed, but the street art is still riding. Click the jump below for more pics and info
This is interesting because its almost like a tacit approval of the street art, while saying 'we don't want this' to the graffiti. Cool how they went out of the way to preserve the Free Humanity piece. They did paint over the massive Seizer face, but it already had a large chunk torn out.
We've always felt that they go hand in hand, and you can't have one without the other. To see what the wall looked like before the buff, CLICK HERE
Also interesting how the buff was done in gray, and whoever painted it didn't even make an attempt to color match the wall.

Fresh Street Art At De La Barracuda
A lot of fresh new street art popped up in the parking lot next to De La Barracuda on Melrose. Click the jump for more
After most of the art was selectively buffed last month, whole grip of new fresh street has resurfaced.
New pieces, and few old, from Zombie, Cyrcle, Insurgency Inc, CiBass, Bankrupt Slut, ASVP, Septerhed, Goober.
And not sure what's going on with the graffiti towards the back. Bran One TRB rolled through with some hollow throwies, and Nolie came by and went over the bottom part of Bran One's spots. Its interesting because its not a full cap, just the bottom part. Anyone know the story behind this?
