Morley Gets Signed By Lazarides!
Morley is sorry on Melrose, but there is no need to apologize.
Morley just got signed with Steve Lazarides Outsiders division to sell prints of his work. It is a huge honor as Steve Lazarides represents huge top name artists, and is best known for being the agent for Banksy.
Huge congrats to LA's own Morley for making it to the big leagues. We will post it up when the prints go for sale, but right now Morley is looking for a feel of people's favorite pieces, so be sure to visit his website and give him some feedback.

My Fart Is A Refugee
Morley keeps putting up clever text driven street art, which is great, and people keep modifying the pieces, with some better than others.
This one made us laugh out loud as we picture someone farting in a library, and people walking by to find a place to read. But every time someone comes to sit by that person, they walk away because of the fart. The Refuge~ Lol.

Hooked Up- Morley
We got hooked up with a great print from Morley.
He hit us up last week and asked us which print we'd be interested in. We requested this one because it is one of our favorite pieces of his. It was one of the first street art pieces that Morley put up, and soon after it hit the streets, it got tagged up so that it said, 'If We Never Meet Again, Just Assume I Became (A) Famous (Vandalizer)'.
Morley is one of our favorite new artists on the scene in LA recently. In all likelihood Morley will probably never be accused of being a vandal. However, his street art is very clever and well done, and we have no doubt that he is going to some day be famous!

My Heart Is A Refuge
We dig Morley's simple, powerful aesthetic.
But even more so, we love that each of his pieces incorporates an idea. The one line on the wall introduces the idea, but Morley usually describes in detail the thought process and action that goes into piece on his blog.
It is a really honest and raw approach to street art, and very well written. Check out Morley's site to fully take in the scope of his pieces.

Daily Barracuda Update
There really does need to be a daily update to the changes in the art in this parking lot. There is always stuff happening, and the new changes include the drama of stuff being ripped down, and new art from 2wenty, Subtle, Morley and more.
Love it or hate it, this place gets slammed.
And while the placement is definitely not structured, we are diggin the way that this is coming together, and think it would be really cool to get a Melrose alternative to the downtown traction wall.
