Charlie Chaplin and A Banana Full of Bullets

Fresh new street art just went up on Melrose featuring Charlie Chaplin and a banana packed full of bullets, among other things.

These pieces all went up at the same time, and both feature Charlie Chaplin, while some are tagged Cyrcle and the others, along with the banana, are tagged with DD$. We are not sure if DD$ is a new artist name, or part of the campaign from Cyrcle.

Swift - A Banana, A Bat, and A Monkey

This is the local piece of street art that everyone is talking about.

No, this is not another Banksy. It is an installation by LA street artist Swift. We have seen a whole jungle of animals from Swift, but the guy with the banana and bat is the first character to go up on the streets. It looks to be hand drawn. We dig it~

Hooked Up - Free Street Art from 2wenty

We had a friend visiting from out of town, and the trip just got better when she scored some free Lindsey Lohan street art to take home!

Street artist 2twenty placed some cool pieces of street art on the streets of Melrose, and did it in a way that only true street art lovers would find it.

And a good friend of MELROSEandFAIRFAX was visiting. She didn't know much about street art, but was intrigued, and she wanted to accompany us on one of our daily walks to check out the scene. It was a real treat to come up on this piece of street art from 2wenty, and these are the shots of her finding, and getting it.

And its really a great win/win situation. This piece has found a good home where it will be preserved and appreciated. This friend is an eye doctor, and plans to hang the Lindsey piece in a prime spot in her home. She is thrilled with the new piece. And 2wenty has earned a new fan, and will get some great exposure (this friend is known for hosting amazing parties in her home).

The Things Lindsey Lohan Will Do For Money

Now that she has hit rock bottom, Lindsey Lohan will do anything for money--even pose with a banana in her face!
